This campaign was launched to help ease the burden of our Muslim brothers in Kampung Semop, Daro, Sarawak to rebuild the mosque that burned on 11 August 2021. We from PEKASA (PERTUBUHAN KEBAJIKAN KASIH SAYANG DAERAH SIBU) took the initiative to raise funds amounting to RM1 million and will be handed over to the mosque management committee for follow -up action and planning to build a new mosque according to the existing capacity and budget.
The objective to run this campaign is to cover the funds of the Darul Al-Amin Mosque Committee, Kampung Semop which is insufficient at present. The campaign also aims to build a new mosque to accommodate almost 95% of the population in Kampung Semop is Muslim.
The condition of the mosque is now completely destroyed. Not a single item in the mosque could be saved. The cause of the fire from the lightning bolt went directly to the Internet Antenna and spread to the next roof of the entire mosque quickly due to the time of the incident, wind and storm accelerated the fire to spread quickly. If this campaign is not successful. The residents of Kampung Semop had to use the old Community Hall to be used as a temporary mosque.
Great is our hope if the philanthropists are willing to help us to speed up the process of building this mosque. May God be the only one who can reward your good deeds for the donations channeled. A small contribution from you is able to ease their burden. May the donations given be a cause of goodness for us and others.
The cost required for this effort is RM1,000,000 where this cost involves the construction of a new mosque including
TOTAL COST REQUIRED = RM2,000,000
